My daughter's 2000 grizzly 600 runs great cold, starts easily on a half choke. it will run for a half an hour or 45 minutes and then start to backfire and stall. It won't make any power when it does this, and it seems to have the most trouble going up hill. It also seems to idle too high. I...

Hey guys, I need some wisdom. I just bought this Grizz. Fresh rebuild. Guy showed proof of build. He thought it was out of time. It doesn’t appear to be. I thought the woodruff key might be partially sheared. It’s not. It acts just like it’s out of time, but everything I’ve checked looks good. I...

I have a 2000 Grizzly 600. My problem is the exhaust pipe is getting way to hot. I can't ride my wife or anyone with me and almost can't ride it by myself. Just got done have a lot of work done to it. They put new timing chain, lapped the valve, new valve seats, etc. I checked the exhaust valves...

I have a 2009 grizzly 700 and am getting a bit frustrated with the power steering. It not that hot where I live, maybe 80 max so I don't think that's the problem. Even a short ride in the tight wooded trails and my PS seems to shut down from heat. Even on open trails if it don't shut down, the...

Hello Grizzly riders, After riding my 450 (2013) for a while in the flat countryside of Holland, the final gear box (including rear wet brake), gets very hot, I cannot hold my hands on it. I had been riding for half an hour at a speed of 30 - 40 miles/hour. I have checked the rear-brake...

I ordered a JBS Hot Rod Sheave kit for my Grizzly 700 on Friday. 16gram weights and a purple spring. Getting excited waiting for it to arrive but I might have to wait a while before I can install it... but dang, it's gonna be sweet! :s_good: I was wondering if anyone had any tips or advise...

I have a 2009 450 griz. We riding yesterday and the rear diff pushed the gear lube out the vent tube and the seals. it was way to hot to touch. I'm guessing that the rear brake was stuck on or dragging. Any one ever run across this? I havn't had a chance to dig in yet.

First off, let me say that this will be my first review on anything so bear with me. There will also be more to come, as I just did the install & only rode in my yard and up & down my street. I will do the typing & then try to edit the pics in from my phone cause that's the only way I know how...

:Shh: I've been using the Pro Pad Air Series seat pad on my Harley for summer riding and they work well by allowing air to to circulate under your a$$ so I thought I would try one on the Grizz. I ordered the Pro Pad Air Series Supercruzer size 17x17" and it fits great. These pads are about...

I have a 07 grizzly 660 with a slip on HMF swamp series. Over the weekend I rode some more technical and slow trails than usual and the exhaust got so hot that it melted a hole in the plastics right where the 4x4 sticker is. The bike itself never overheated but the exhaust got extremely hot. Is...

I have a 2011 Grizzly 700 and am wondering if anyone else has this problem. My bike gets extremely hot. I dont mean overheating, I mean literally so hot that you cant hardly ride it with shorts on without burning the inside of your legs. And I'm not talking about after riding on the trail for...

02 660 with powertip and uni wrapped in outerwares she runs hot for some reason and occasionally backfires, also today was sputtering out a bit like it wasn't getting fuel every now and then. Do I need to jet with powertip and uni? Could this cause these problems? My other thought is old or...

Well about the only thing bad about these lights are the little black 3 pronged switch with the red LED light. After a few minutes of the lights being on, the wires coming into the switch are getting hot, almost too hot to hold the swith in ur hand. My question is, could I have put them...

I picked up a can of this and sprayed down my new plastics. They really look great. Do any of you all use this? I had read about using it somewhere and for less than $6 a can its cheap enough. I will see over the long term, but it looks nice now and smells good too!

I'm not a mechanic. Not even close. Okay, got that out of the way. The left side of the grizz gets hot. It's gets hot enough that I can feel it on my leg as I ride. Oh sure, in the 60% humidity and 97 degree heat, I should take delight in having that sauna like feeling, but I don't...
