DIY 550 snorkel

I'm doing research and getting info on building my own snorkel kit for my 550 grizzly, I really like the snorkel your atv kit so I want to build my own like that one, from what I've read so far everywhere that I've searched it seems that the best pipe to use is the sch40 white PVC and flex PVC, I'm having issues finding the white sch40 PVC but I can get the fittings, the sch40 PVC conduit is very easy to get and I'm wondering if it's the same or just as good, all I can see for differences is that it's grey and electrical conduit instead of white, has anyone used the conduit? Also the flex PVC, is it the pool/spa hose or is it actual flex PVC?
