Can anyone offer a solution or how-to for adjusting the preload settings on the Grizzly without the special tool? Need to stiffen up the hubby's Grizzly preload but don't know which way to turn, nor what to use to do it?

Any help appreciated!! Thanks guys.

X2 on the channel locks, i just use a regular size nothing big or fancy. If they are being stubborn spray a little on blaster on them to help loosen em up first.

I picked up the correct spanner for the shock for under $5.00. Jacked up the Grizzly and used a cheater pipe on the handle. Easy as can be with the right tool!

Yea you can spray WD 40 on the bottom part of the collar at the base of the spring and put a rag on collar to keep from marring the paint then turn the collar with the channel locks to seat the metal tab in the lower notch to stiffen up the shock. On the 700 I found the stiffest setting on the rear and softest on the front help the rear sway bar work better and not dip as bad on the turns.

You can buy a spanner wrench on Ebay for 5-10 bucks
Why mess up your shocks by using the wrong tool?
