Ok guys and Gals what ya think. I filmed in 720p action with the contourHD..Had to cut a few corners when loading to youtube due to my weak Inet which I plan to replace soon..Still came out ok..This is awesome fun and have some learnings to do..But this is my first ever vid inside vid..:kisses:what ya think..rendered @ dvd.2.mpg..smallest file I've found..
I'm thinking it would be neat to have two different viewpoints on like a hill climb, like one view from the helmet cam and one from another cam at the top of the hill maybe.
If you do choose to do "vid-in vid", I think it looks best when used sparingly... every once in a while durring a cool part of the video, edit it to have a vid-in-vid secondary view of the same action that is happening simultainously on the helmet cam... maybe a fixed camera view on the top of the hill like Jesse mentioned, or maybe a rear view (looking backwards), ect...
Either way, I think the vid-in-vid idea works best in short bursts of a few seconds at a time, and the in-vid should correspond to what is being shown from the main camera view IMO
Good job with your first try, and thanks for sharing!
Thanks to all, Yea i'm just messin around..the Corel Pro has endless editing even slow motion animated just got to figure it all out..some of you might like this photo slide I just did..Jesse your getrting it done in this one..
James just be sure when you're using the split or pic in pic that you don't lay the smaller vid over the action of the main footage. Like Sas mentioned sometimes better just to use an overlay for a few seconds to highlight an opposing image of the same action.
Me not pro, but I would locate the PIP in the right lower corner, otherwise Your hemut is blocking part of the viewing area and the PIP the other, if not the rest of the main viewable screen, jmo.
The quality was nice, but I didn't know what to look @.
